Jerry Schmidt Jerry Schmidt has diverse experience - starting out as a smoke jumper and working as District Ranger and Forest Supervisor in the Southwest and the Rocky Mountains. A graduate with a BS in Recreation and Forest Management, he has had extensive training and experience in ecosystem management and fire ecology. He was certified as both a professional Forester and Range Conservationist. He is known for his integrity and ability to get things done and emphasizes collaboration and conflict resolution in approaching issues such as timber blow-down salvage and ski area development. | |
Donnie Sparks Donnie Sparks is a certified Professional in Rangeland Management, has an MS in Range Science and owns/operates a working ranch. He has extensive experience managing BLM public lands and is known for his innovative and common sense approach to land stewardship. Consulting experience with LSA includes land assessments, wildfire rehabilitation, fuel hazard assessments, noxious weeds, sensitive species, plant collections and watershed restoration. Sparks has worked with a wide variety of landforms and ecosystems in the Southwest and the Rockies. | |
Dave Anderson Dave Anderson has a wealth of experience as a professional Hydrologist (MS) and Forester (BS) in the Southwest, Lake States and Pacific Northwest, and as a university instructor in hydrology. As Renewable Resources Director in the Rockies, he demonstrated innovative leadership in managing all forestry, rangeland, wildlife, and fisheries activities on 22 million acres of National Forests and Grasslands. Consulting experience with LSA includes feasibility of small reservoirs, watershed restoration, insect hazard and risk evaluations, salvage assessments and wildfire and fuels mitigation planning. | |
Jim Webb Jim Webb is nationally recognized for his expertise in prescribed fires and fire suppression. He believes in collaborative problem solving and has served in numerous Forest Service leadership roles throughout the West, including Forest Supervisor in Colorado and Alaska. Jim is known for his initiative, energy, and ability to achieve results. He has received numerous awards and holds a BS in Forestry and is a Certified Forester (SAF #1173). Consulting experience includes wildfire and fuel assessments and mitigation plans, prescribed burn plans and timber and other resource assessments. | |
